This page is for anything to do with the movie experience, from the price of tickets, stale popcorn at the concession stand, to the movies themselves. Feel free to add to this list with comments.
1. Trailers are too long, and too many of them. They used to last a total of 10 minutes before the feature started, and now it can be 20 minutes or even longer. 2. Trailers are too loud! And what is that hokey WHOOMP! sound that gets injected into almost every trailer to try and artificially create suspense or emphasis? Whoever puts it into trailers need to knock it off! 3. Too many movies pander to the lowest denominators, mostly teenagers. Hollywood can make intelligent films, but they don’t do it often enough. It’s all about the money, so we get recycled movies with lots of car chases and explosions. Hollywood – if you make good films, they will come…. 4. Hollywood – would it kill you to make some good romantic comedies? 5. Movie theater owners – quit building these tiny theaters for 80 people, with two rows so close to the screen that we get stiff necks and distorted views of the screen if we get stuck up front. And for crying out loud, don’t stick a movie in these cracker boxes the first week a film opens!
